Every Special Olympics Airlift begins with a spark of generosity and grows through the collective compassion of people and organizations who believe in what this mission represents. As Textron Aviation launched its donation efforts benefiting Special Olympics in support of the 2026 Airlift, that spark immediately grew brighter thanks to the Parker-Hannifin Foundation — the very first donor to step forward with a generous $7,500 grant to Special Olympics North America. These donations go directly to the Special Olympics, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Supporting the Special Olympics Airlift through a financial contribution is deeply aligned with our commitment to lifting communities and creating opportunities for people to thrive. We are honored to help ensure athletes and coaches begin their USA Games journey with dignity, excitement and the celebration they deserve, said Steve Rorebeck, Key Account Director, Parker-Hannifin Foundation  Steve Rorebeck, Key Account Director, Parker Aerospace

For more than 70 years, the Parker-Hannifin Foundation has invested in strengthening communities, supporting education, health, human services and programs that improve the lives of families and neighbors. Their giving reflects a deep belief in compassion in action—uplifting people, meeting local needs and reinforcing the values shared by Parker employees nationwide. By becoming the first donor to the 2026 Special Olympics Airlift, they helped set the tone for the generosity that makes this mission possible.

Their contribution directly fuels the operations that allow the Airlift to come to life, said Stephanie Harder, Special Olympics Airlift, Co-Chair. From travel planning and delegation logistics to the coordinated efforts that ensure athletes and coaches begin their journey feeling dignified, supported and celebrated, this gift plays a meaningful role in helping athletes arrive at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games ready for the moment they’ve trained so hard to reach.  Stephanie Harder, Special Olympics Airlift, Co-Chair

The Special Olympics Airlift remains one of the most unique humanitarian missions in the world. Every four years, owners and operators of Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft volunteer their aircraft, their fuel and their time to transport Special Olympics athletes and coaches to the USA Games. In 2026, these flights of hope and celebration will touch down in Minnesota’s Twin Cities, carrying athletes whose journeys would not be possible without the generosity of the aviation community.

As the launch donor in this year’s effort, the Parker-Hannifin Foundation exemplifies what the Airlift stands for: people coming together to lift others higher. Their early support reflects the very spirit of the Airlift—standing beside these athletes from the very beginning and helping carry them toward unforgettable moments.

You Can Help Carry the Mission Forward

The Airlift relies on the collective strength of donors, volunteers and aircraft owners who choose to step forward and make a difference.

Make a Donation

Financial contributions also play a critical role in ensuring the Airlift’s success. Donations support essential logistics, athlete coordination and the operational backbone required to deliver this extraordinary humanitarian mission. Donations to the Special Olympics, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, may offer potential tax benefits for donors. Every gift helps carry athletes toward unforgettable moments.

Become a Dove

Owners and operators of Cessna, Beechcraft or Hawker aircraft can volunteer as Doves, transporting Special Olympics athletes and coaches to the 2026 USA Games. Each Dove plays a vital role in creating a joyful, dignified start to the athletes’ journey — an experience many remember as the moment the Games truly begin.

When you choose to give, fly or support the Airlift in any way, you become part of a legacy of hope, unity and opportunity. Together, we can help hundreds of athletes take flight toward their greatest moments.
