Prent Corporation Shares the Heart Behind Their Commitment as Dove 1 for the 2026 Special Olympics Airlift

Prent Corporation knows what it means to show up for others. as Dove 1 for arrival day. 

Joe Pregont, Executive Chairman and Karl Biermann, Chief Pilot reflect on why participating in the Airlift is so meaningful to them, their teams and their families. 

Joe describes Prent’s culture as one built on genuine care. He shares that supporting the Airlift is a natural extension of that commitment to care and connection. 

“We are a family business and our family is more than just the family of ownership, it’s the family of employees and their families,” said Joe. “It’s an outstanding opportunity for us to give back.”   

As arrival day Dove 1, Prent Corporation will be the first aircraft arriving with Special Olympics athletes and coaches. For Joe, that honor carries deep meaning and tremendous excitement. 

“I’m extremely excited to be Dove 1 for the arrivals of the Special Olympics Airlift,” said Joe.  

Giving back is part of the mission 

Chief Pilot Karl Biermann echoes the same values, “this isn’t just a business, it’s a part of the community, and it’s important to share what you’ve got and give back.” 

Biermann and the Prent flight crew have participated before, flying in the 2022 Airlift — and that experience left a lasting impact. 

Karl recalls: “Seeing the athletes’ faces was probably the best part of the whole experience because they are beyond excited. Everyone is high‑fiving and what they’re experiencing is just pure joy. They felt like rockstars.” 

An experience everyone should feel 

The energy of Airlift arrival day is unlike anything else: athletes stepping off private aircraft, greeted by cheers, volunteers and a celebration made just for them. 

Joe remarks: “Being a part of the Airlift is exciting — feels like everybody ought to do it.” 

That spirit of inspiration is exactly what Biermann hopes others take away from Prent’s story. He hopes Prent’s involvement encourages more aircraft owners and operators to sign up, join the mission and help create another unforgettable year for these athletes.
