Stephen Elop of NW Flight Operations knows the power of aviation — but during the Special Olympics Airlift, he witnessed something even greater.
From takeoff to touchdown, Elop saw firsthand how general aviation can serve as a force for good. “A tremendous way of giving back to the community,” he said, reflecting on the experience. “It’s amazing to see the awe and gratitude expressed by the travelers.”
For Elop, the Airlift wasn’t just a flight — it was a moment of connection, compassion and purpose. The joy radiating from the athletes and their families made every mile meaningful.
NW Flight Operations is proud to be part of this mission and looks forward to joining the journey again in 2026 — ready to fly, serve and inspire.
