Doves are a symbol of peace, and the Special Olympics Airlift is the world’s largest peacetime airlift, showcasing the power of aviation collaboration and community spirit. The prestigious “Dove” call sign is given to Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker owners and operators who donate the use of their aircraft to transport athletes to and from the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. Doves are given National Airspace System priority by the Federal Aviation Administration while flying in the Airlift.

Textron Aviation is calling on owners and operators of the following aircraft to participate in the 2026 Airlift:
Volunteers are invited to donate their time, aircraft, fuel and operating expenses to transport athletes and coaches to and from the Games, which will be held in Minnesota’s Twin Cities. The airlift will take place on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 27, 2026, with aircraft arriving and departing from St. Paul Downtown Airport (KSTP) every three minutes during the 10-hour operation.

Since the Airlift's inception in 1987, this remarkable initiative has brought together the aviation community to transport over 10,000 athletes and their families to the Special Olympics USA Games, helping ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate.
